Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a powerful and respectful approach to healing that sees each person as made up of different "parts"—some that protect us, and others that carry pain from past experiences.
At the center of it all is your Self—a calm, compassionate, and wise core that can’t be broken or lost. This Self has the natural ability to guide healing and create balance within.
IFS recognizes that having multiple parts is normal. Just like members of a family, our inner parts often take on roles to protect us, especially when we've faced challenges or trauma. Over time, these protective roles can become extreme, leading to inner tension, confusion, or distress.
In therapy, IFS helps you reconnect with your Self and gently understand and heal the parts of you that may be hurting or overwhelmed. It’s an evidence-based method used effectively in many clinical settings, but it also goes beyond therapy. IFS offers a way of understanding yourself, your relationships, and your life with more compassion and clarity.
Living from the Self means embodying what we call the 8 Cs:
Calm, Clarity, Curiosity, Compassion, Confidence, Courage, Creativity, and Connectedness.
Through IFS, you can begin to access these qualities more fully and experience a deeper, more authentic relationship with yourself and others.

Client Review
"For more than 9 years I was limited driving due to a car accident where we were rear-ended. I was a passenger and experienced whiplash, a severe concussion, and resulting panic attacks while driving. I had tried various therapies, including EMDR, so I was initially skeptical this therapy would work. However, after a few sessions with Victoria’s gentle, compassionate guidance, I moved much of the fear out of my nervous system and was able to drive without panic. In the last EMDR session my body released the story of the past, focusing not on the traumatic impact and years of limitation, but on the healing. I believe my healing was facilitated not just via the treatment modality but the practitioner. In Victoria’s presence one feels safe, valued. All thoughts and feelings are examined with tenderness. Therapy with Victoria is gentle and effective. Our community is blessed to have her practicing here." -E.
